학사학위를 받기 위해서는
1년에 학비+생활비=8000만원
가량의 비용이 소요됩니다.

TEST-OUT이란?
학생이 졸업까지 반드시 배워야 할 필수 과목(Core music)중 수업을 듣지 않아도 될 실력을 이미 갖췄다고 인정될 경우 수업을 듣지 않더라도 학점을 인정해줍니다.
Proficiency Assessment and Exams

Entering Student Proficiency Assessment (ESPA)
The proficiency assessment enables Berklee to determine whether advanced levels of arranging, harmony, and ear training are right for you and to place you in classes with students of similar musical knowledge. All first-semester students will take an entering student proficiency assessment. It is important to remember that you cannot "pass or fail" the assessment and that no grade will be assigned to it.
The ESPA is delivered in two phases. An online ear training assessment is available through the college's student portal. All students are required to complete the online ear training assessment. The online ear training portion of the assessment can be completed in about twenty minutes time. All students take a comprehensive, written assessment once they arrive on campus. The on-campus written assessment takes about two hours to complete, and is scheduled during orientation week.
Online Proficiency Assessment Sample Questions
This website provides multimedia sample questions that cover some of the topics found in thearranging, ear training, and harmony proficiency assessments, as well as the Introduction to Music Technology exam. While your performance on these sample questions should not be viewed as a predictor of your actual first-semester assessment, feel free to try your hand at our Online Proficiency Assessment Sample Questions.
English Proficiency Exam
All non-native English speakers are required to take the English proficiency exam, which is administered during orientation week.
The English proficiency exam is not required for native English speakers.
Traditional Harmony and Counterpoint Exam (optional)
This exam offers you the opportunity to receive credit for Traditional Harmony (CM-211 and CM-212) provided that you demonstrate strong comprehension of the subject matter. Before taking the Traditional Harmony and Counterpoint exam, you need to pick up an outline of test materials from the Professional Writing Center.
If you successfully "test out" of Traditional Harmony and Counterpoint and you are registered for either CM-211 or CP-211, then you will need to drop the course from your schedule by the add/drop deadline. Most students complete this CBX in their 2nd or later semester on campus.

Introduction to Music Technology Exam (optional)
This exam offers you the opportunity to receive credit for Introduction to Music Technology (MTEC-111), a required course for all degree and diploma students, provided that you demonstrate strong knowledge of the subject matter. Before taking the Introduction to Music Technology exam, you need to pick up an outline of test materials from the Electronic Production and Design Department.
If you successfully "test out" of Introduction to Music Technology and you are registered for MTEC-111, then you will need to drop this course from your schedule by the add/drop deadline.
As noted above, you may try your hand online at some representative questions of the Introduction to Music Technology exam.

테스트 아웃을 할 수 있는 구체적인 방법을 아주 쉽게 설명해 드릴게요.
1) 버클리 음대에 입학하면 오리엔테이션과 함께 Placement test 를 봅니다.
이는 배치고사라고 보면 되는데요. 시험을 통해 레벨을 나눠 실력이 좋은 학생은 높은 레벨의 수업을 듣게 됩니다.
시험과목으로는
Eat-training 1,2,3,4
Harmony 1,2,3,4
Arranging 1,2
ESL (영어)
예를들어 Harmony 4 레벨을 받을 경우 Harmony 1-3 수업은 듣지 않아도 되는 거죠.
이렇게 모든 과목에 대해 높은 레벨을 받게 되면 학비 절감 뿐 아니라
더 많은 배움의 기회와 함께 뛰어난 실력의 학생들과 공부하며
자신의 실력을 더욱더 업그레이드 할 수 있게 되겠죠.
2) 매학기가 시작할 때 Core music 시험에 응시하여 실력을 인정 받으면 그 과목은 수강하지 않아도
학점 인정을 받을 수 있어요.
해당과목은
Arrainging
Music Technology
Traditional Harmony 1,2
Traditional Counterpoint 1,2
이렇게 모든 과목들에 대해 Test-out을 하게 된다면
총 36학점을 학점인정
학비+생활비 = 약8000만원 절감
2학기 먼저 조기졸업 가능!!
